But what is Cold plunging? Cold plunging, also known as cold water immersion or cold therapy, is a practice that involves immersing your body in cold water for a short period of time. It is often used as a form of therapy or as a part of certain health and wellness routines. Cold plunging is typically done in water that is between 50°F (10°C) and 60°F (15.6°C), although temperatures may vary based on personal preference and specific practices.

The process of cold plunging usually involves submerging the body up to the neck or chest for a brief duration, typically around 1 to 5 minutes. Some people may prefer to gradually adapt to the cold by starting with shorter durations and gradually increasing them over time.
